Introduction

Bluestone was established in 2003 to provide HR consultancy, coaching, and learning and development to businesses and public sector organisations throughout the UK.

We recognise that our reputation and success are dependent on a continuing track record of client satisfaction.  Much of our work comes to us as new assignments from previous, satisfied clients.  To maintain this record we combine our core team with a team of associate consultants, enabling us to offer breadth and depth of experience and expertise at a time and location to suit our clients. 

Our team of highly-skilled and experienced HR consultants have all had distinguished careers in senior HR or management roles and bring with them a wealth of practical experience to their work.

 

Sheila Williams – Managing Director

Sheila is responsible for the overall operation of the business and provides coaching, consultancy and development to clients across public and private sectors. This work has been delivered within the context of organisations undergoing rapid change, merger or re-structuring and has entailed working with Boards, Executive Teams and operational groups.

Sheila holds a post-graduate Diploma in Management,  NVQ Levels 4/5 in Training and Development and a Diploma in Performance Coaching.

She is an accredited facilitator for the Strengths Deployment Inventory and a number of 360° feedback tools.

 

Amanda (Mandy) Thomlinson – Consultant

Mandy is an organisational development consultant with many years experience in both the public and private sectors. She has worked across the breadth of organisations from SMEs to PLCs on projects including business planning, service reviews, facilitation of organisational change and design of professional development tools.

She enjoys facilitating strategic planning, the implementation of change management processes, and business solutions.  She provides objective analysis based on facts and creative customised solutions based on empowering your team.

Mandy holds an MSc in Medical Sciences from the University of Leeds and is a member of the Institute of Healthcare Management. She is also a part-qualified chartered accountant.

 

Alison Verheul – Consultant

Alison Verheul has extensive experience of organisation development working at organisation, team and individual levels. A former Director in the HR consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, she also has senior line HR experience gained in the retail and financial services sectors. She is an honours graduate in History from the University of Manchester, has diplomas in both Business Coaching and HR Management, and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Alison has been guiding clients in maximising the potential of their organisations since the late 80s. She has broad-based experience of working on initiatives that have organisation-wide implications. She particularly enjoys working with teams and individuals to assess and develop potential and has successfully acted as a coach to a number of senior and middle managers through times of transition and personal challenge.
