Leadership and Management Development

Effective Leadership and Management Development are critical components in business success.  Most businesses are undergoing significant change, at a faster rate than ever before. Demands for improvements in services and performance, for greater return on human and physical resources, and for more flexibility in the deployment of critical skills, result in increasing pressure on the skills and expertise of managers, and especially on their leadership abilities.

We design and deliver Leadership and Management programmes for Supervisors, Team Leaders and Middle Managers. 

For Senior Managers, Directors and Executives we believe that Performance and Personal Coaching provides a better option because of the demands on, and limitations to, their time and availability.

Team Development

Teamwork is an essential component of modern organisations yet the composition and development of teams do not always receive the attention they deserve – resulting in teams that do not work effectively together and team members who are disaffected; uncertain of their purposes and roles.

Through team development, team members gain clarity about their roles and contributions to their teams. Team performance in key results areas is measurably improved – creating a positive impact in the organisation as a whole; in terms of business performance, motivation and morale.

We use a range of interventions including:

  • Team-effectiveness audits, Myers Briggs, Strength Deployment Inventory.

  • Team-building exercises and events.

  • Facilitation of team time-outs to address planning, problem-solving and performance issues.

  • Team and individual coaching;

  • Specific team-skills development workshops.

We work in partnership with our clients to clarify the organisational and team objectives, to identify the challenges and issues which need to be addressed and then to design and deliver focussed, participative and enjoyable team development activities that give genuine results.

 

Personal Effectiveness

In every business there is now more pressure than ever to produce measurable results within short timescales.  Job roles are less defined and flexibility in behaviour and thought are now critical components of most roles.

Businesses need to tap into the talent and potential of their staffs to develop the skills and expertise needed to produce results not only for the present but also for the future.

However, that alone is not sufficient. Staff need to know and care about the issues facing their organisations and understand how what they do contributes to their organisations' success.

Therefore, our Personal Effectiveness training and development programmes reflect organisational needs and priorities as well as individual needs and objectives. This results in skilled and motivated staff who feel themselves to be closely involved in the success of the business.
